Sophia Fenn grew up in Berlin and completed an apprenticeship in Media Design at the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf from 2015 to 2018. During that time, she discovered her passion for visual storytelling and began her bachelor’s studies in Cinematography in 2018, follwed by a masters program from 2022-2025. Throughout her studies, she worked as first camera assistant on various TV, commercial, and film productions and gained international on-location experience as DoP on documentary films in countries such as Brazil, Ukraine, and the United States. In 2025, Sophia completed her master’s degree with the documentary film WHERE THE WAVES TOOK HER, which premiered at the Hof International Film Festival, where it received an honorable mention. In addition to documentary filmmaking, she feels drawn to character-driven storytelling in narrative feature films, series, and other formats. Thanks to more than 15 years of experience in martial arts, Sophia also has a special passion for stunts and action and is eager to face any challenge in this field.
