After completing her diploma at the HBLA for Artistic Design in Linz, Simone moved to Vienna and attended the Multimedia College at Die Graphische. She then pursued a degree in Cinematography at the Film Academy Vienna. During this time, she created several short films that were awarded at international festivals (including Max Ophüls Prize, VIS, Diagonale, Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón, Ljubljana International Film Festival, Bamberger Kurzfilmtage, Landshut Short Film Festival, Berlinale…). Since then, she has worked as a cinematographer on narrative and documentary projects. Her first feature film premiered at the Berlinale 2025 and won the Teddy Jury Award as well as the CICAE Art Cinema Award.
