Lotta Kilian works as a DoP for narrative and documentary films. She graduated in cinematography from the University for Film and Television Potsdam in 2012 and completed a two years masterscholars in 2014. Her first feature TOP GIRL premiered at Berlin International Filmfestival Forum 2014 as well as the film LANDSTÜCK by Volker Koepp in 2016. For the film WIR STERBEN she received the prestigious DEUTSCHER KAMERAPREIS and was awarded in the Kodak Filmschool Cinematography Competition 35mm. The feature film NICHTS, WAS UNS PASSIERT by Julia C. Kaiser was awarded with two prizes at Grimme Awards. For the cinematography on the historic drama LUISE she received a nomination at Camerimage Filmfestival 2023 in the Cinematographers’ Debuts Competition as well as a nomination at the prestigious German Film Prize for Best Cinematography in 2024. Lotta works and lives in Berlin and Hamburg
