Lotta Kilian works as a DoP for narrative and documentary films. She graduated in cinematography from the University for Film and Television Potsdam in 2012 and completed a two years masterscholars in 2014. Her first feature fiction TOP GIRL premiered at Berlin International Filmfestival Forum 2014 as well as the film LANDSTÜCK by Volker Koepp in 2016. For the film WIR STERBEN she received the prestigious DEUTSCHER KAMERAPREIS and was awarded in the Kodak Filmschool Cinematography Competition 35mm. In 2023 her feature film NICHTS, WAS UNS PASSIERT by Julia C. Kaiser premieres in german television ARD and the historic drama LUISE by Matthias Luthardt starts in german and french cinemas. For LUISE she got nominated at Camerimage Festival 2023 for a Golden Frog in the Cinematographers’ Debuts Competition. She lives in Hamburg and Berlin.
