Lea Dähne is part of a new generation of female cinematographers in German cinema, working between auteur filmmaking and commercial production. She focuses on narrative film and advertising and studied at the HFF Munich. Her feature debut as Director of Photography was the comedy “Zweigstelle” (dir. Julius Grimm), which premiered at the Munich International Film Festival and won the National Audience Award. “Run Me Wild” (dir. Catharina Lott) premiered in 2026 at the Max Ophüls Prize in competition and marks her graduation. She also works regularly in commercial productions.
