Katja Rivas Pinzon was born in 1986 in Hamburg. After different assistant jobs in the art department, B.A. in theatre and media studies at the University of Bayreuth. Until 2016 she studied cinematography at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne. Since 2017 part of the INTO THE WILD mentoring program for young film professionals. She is passionate for strong character driven stories with female leads at the core of the drama. She adores a cinematography that drives the story forward, yet has an open-minded look, observes and reacts, but does not lose its autonomous position and never judges.
