Julia Daschner works since 2008 as freelance cinematographer, since 2013 also as a teacher of cinematography. After finishing her studies with a feature documentary (AUF DER WALZ/Take tot he road), she won the national award for female cinematographers for BERGIG/mountainous parts. Her first long feature film, LOSE YOUR HEAD, was premiered at Berlinale in 2013. Her next feature, SOMMERHÄUSER / The garden, started in cinemas in autumn 2017. Her last work, MATTI & SAMI“, a childrens feature, is currently in post- producton. Shootings abroad: Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Cuba, North-&Southkorea
